Rihanna said that she felt good when she went to the recording studio a few weeks after the 9 February 2009 assault from her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The 21-year-old singer admitted that she had a lot of fun in making the album, and that it was good for her, considering the events that happened in her life.
She said that her feelings run very deep on her fourth album entitled ‘Rated R’, which was distributed around November of last year.
“The vocal performances definitely were influenced by the emotion, the feeling. I wasn’t just singing lines”, said Rihanna. Instead, she was singing each and every word, and that the words meant something since they mirrored her story. She stated that the album was more personal.
Reports have circulated that Rihanna is already set to engage in another relationship, and that she is on the lookout for love.
Last month, Rihanna appeared on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, and mentioned that she is hoping to fall deeply in love in the next 10 years.
“I hope I am. 31 is a decade away”, said the singer. “”I better be in love by then”.
Despite the fact that photos of her and baseball player Matt Kemp have been leaked, Rihanna vows that she is currently single.
Regarding Chris Brown’s issue, he is scheduled to go to court for his progress report on the probationary status imposed on him. He was sentenced with a 5-year probationary status, in which he is not allowed to contact Rihanna within that period.
