Will Ferrell and Megan Fox are nominated for the Razzies this year.
Ferell’s ‘Land of the Lost’ and Fox’s ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ lead the pack of nominees, each having seven Razzies nominations.
Other nominees for worst picture are the John Travolta-Robin Williams comedy ‘Old Dogs’, action flick ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’ and the Sandra Bullock starrer ‘All About Steve’.
While Bullock is nominated for the worst actress Razzie for ‘All About Steve’, she is tipped to win an Oscar nomination on Tuesday for her performance in ‘The Blind Side’.
“She could be the first person ever to win a Razzie and an Oscar in the same weekend”, said Golden Raspberry Awards founder John Wilson. The award-giving body is now in its 30th year of honouring Hollywood’s worst. The winners at the Razzies will be announced on 6 March, the night right before the Academy Awards.
Razzie voters are also picking the decade’s worst. The nominees for worst picture are Madonna’s ‘Swept Away’, Linday Lohan’s ‘I Know Who Killed Me’, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s ‘Gigli’, Tom Green’s ‘Freddy Got Fingered’ and Travolta’s ‘Battlefield Earth’.
Travolta and Affleck are nominated for worst actor of the decade. They go against Rob Schneider, Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy. Madonna, Lopez and Lohan are up for worst actress of the decade. Paris Hilton and Mariah Carey complete the list of nominees.
The decade’s worst actress Razzie could probably come down to Lohan and Hilton, said Wilson.
“Eddie Murphy I would guess would be pretty hard to beat as worst actor of the decade”, he added.
