Despite being surrounded by sexy, young women most of the time, Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy, admitted that he was not happy giving in to temptations. He was saying this in relation to the recent scandal surrounding Tiger Woods.

The 83-year-old publisher and CEO of Playboy Enterprises said that he did not approve of Woods’ extra-marital affairs. However, he also said that he “just was not surprised by it”.

He denied the rumours that he “somehow approved” of the golf star’s behaviour regarding the sex scandal.

He also explained that the scandal surrounding Woods did not come as a surprise to him because the golfer has good looks. “He’s a handsome, young guy and beautiful ladies are throwing themselves at him”, he said.

He added that circumstances of marriage or other personal relationships may be unknown. However, he said that he thinks “that the immorality of infidelity is the lie. It isn’t really the sex. It’s the cheating”.

Hefner said that he was faithful all throughout his eight-year marriage. He also said that he had many temptations around him.

Hefner said that he’s now “very happy” with his three girlfriends, Crystal Harris and the Shannon twins, Kristina and Karissa.

He also criticised how many Americans perceive sexual expression.

“Before Playboy, we were really repressed. It’s not as bad now as it was then in the ’50s. But we’re very hypocritical about it”, he said.
