Marie Osmond made a sad return to her show in Las Vegas Strip on Tuesday, saying faith and singing helped the family cope up with her son’s death.

Facing the loss bravely, her brother Donny Osmond said she was a strong woman to show up despite the matter, after the death of Michael Bryan about two weeks ago from what was believed to be suicide.

The funeral of Bryan was held in Provo, Utah on Monday.

“I just think that we need to give a big round of applause to my sister for even coming onstage tonight”, said Donny Osmond after their opening number.

“Don’t do that — I’m going to have to leave”, Marie Osmond joked as the crowd of the Flamingo Las Vegas supported her.

“God bless you all”, she said. “The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing and that’s what we want to do tonight. I know my son would want that”.

The Donny & Marie show resumed with eager audiences, with overwhelming support for Marie on her jokes, songs and dance off with her brother.

The sibling banter of the two was not spared as they laughed at each other about their fitness, voices and ages.

“Thank you, papers, for putting in that I’m 50,” said Marie Osmond. “The female F-word — ‘50′”.

Marie said her daughter told her she need to laugh on Tuesday, so she told a joke to her.

“Why was the sand wet”, she said. “Because the sea weed”.

Marie said her latest inspirational music album was for her children, and had an opera song especially for Bryan.
