Jon Gosselin may be facing another battle. But it’s not his ex-wife Kate Gosselin in front of him. This time, it’s ex-girlfriend, Hailey Glassman.
The 32-year-old TV personality said that when he returned to his apartment in New York City on 26 December after spending Christmas with his children, he found that is was ransacked and vandalized.
For Gosselin, all signs point to none other than the 22-year-old Glassman. According to his lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, Gosselin was “horrified … to observe his furniture, clothing and personal belongings slashed by a very troubled and sick perpetrator”.
But a clue led Gosselin to his ex-girlfriend who split with the reality-show dad recently: a note written by Glassman pinned on a dresser with a butcher knife.
But Anand Ahuja, Glassman’s attorney, dismissed the allegation saying, “Somebody is trying to frame my client”.
And a possible suspect for the setup may just be Gosselin himself, who has been known to force himself into the spotlight.
“I don’t know anything about any note and I can’t confirm it at this time”, said Stephanie Ovadia, Glassman’s other lawyer. “This appears to be a publicity stunt”.
Her lawyers also confirmed that she did take things from Gosselin’s apartment but those items belonged to her.
Ovadia added that Gosselin “told her the apartment would be padlocked because he had not been paying rent, and she should go there and take whatever she wanted”.
Gosselin’s lawyers, however, emphasized that they will “vigorously” press for “felony charges”. However, Glassman’s lawyers were not shaken by the threat.
