E! News confirms that Eddie Cibrian, who is now finally openly dating country songbird LeAnn Rimes, has filed for divorce from Brandi Glanville, his wife of eight years.
“He filed yesterday and I accepted it,” Glanville told E!. “We’re getting a divorce. We talked to each other yesterday.”
Apparently, the time is right since it turns out that Cibrian has already plans about a romantic getaway with his girlfriend, the future ex-wife says.
“They’re going on vacation this weekend to Mexico,” Glanville, who has no qualms of voicing out her feelings towards Rimes, told E!. “I’m looking forward to seeing those pictures.”
Cibrian told E! through a rep that he had “no comment” as of now.
Glanville and Cibrian have two children together. It was a good four months after rumours started circling that the 36-year-old hunk had been dating his Northern Lights co-star before the couple confirmed that they had separated.
A few days later, LeAnn Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet, who the singer wed when she was just 19, admitted that they have been living apart “for quite some time.”
This did not come as surprise to Glanville who tells ‘Us Weekly’ in its latest issue that her husband is “a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker.”
“Eddie’s displays of poor taste have hurt our two children,” she said. “Eddie may just end up drowning himself in that ‘unfair fishbowl.’”
On the other hand, now that the divorce proceedings have already started, Glanville is starting to look to the brighter side of life.
“It’s just over for me,” Glanville told E! News. “We’re both happy. This is going to be good.”
