Simon Cowell will not be seen on another audition day of Britain’s Got Talent, and The X-Factor co-judge Louis Walsh will again replace him while he still recovers from flu.
According to reports, the music mogul is still resting at home and may not make it to the auditions in Birmingham for the BGT. Walsh would again fill in Cowell’s seat after receiving a last-minute call, telling him that the latter could not yet work.
Walsh surprised the crowd on Wednesday as he appeared in a Cowell mask and joined the other judges of the show.
A source working for the programme said, “The decision was made late last night that Simon would have to miss another day of auditions. It’s not something he takes likely, but he is recovering from a nasty bout of flu and he has to stay in bed.”
However, he added that Walsh was enjoying his time ‘being rude’ to the other judges. He said, “His constant references to Jedward and their number one hit are winding them up no end!”
Meanwhile, Holden jokingly said, “It feels like the teacher is off. I feel I can mess about a bit more today. We have got Louis in as a supply teacher so we can put some acts through who wouldn’t make it if Simon was here. I am missing him though.”
Before the unexpected illness, the 50-year-old Cowell has never missed a single audition of BGT.
