George Clooney wants to clarify to the viewers that his ’psychic warfare’ film is not a war movie.

Grant Heslov’s ’The Men Who Stare at Goats’ was featured last Tuesday during the Venice Film Festival. The movie was based on the book of Jon Ronson and inspired by the true events.

The story of the movie is about Bob Wilton (McGregor), a reporter who seeks big story in the war zone. He then meets Lyn Cassady (Clooney), a member of a unit that wishes to change how wars are fought by hiring paranormal powers. Aside from Clooney, the film also features Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges.

“I think we looked at this and thought it wasn’t an Iraq war film”, Clooney told the press on Tuesday.

“We thought it was a comedy about some crazy ideas that went on, that started at the end of the Vietnam war and carried on through, not that long ago and maybe still carry on”, he continued.

Clooney also joked when asked whether he made researches about paranormal powers while filming the movie. “At the premiere I am going to actually walk through a wall”, he commented.

“What we love about this film and what is so fun about it is there is a tremendous amount of it that is true. And as funny as it is, it’s some of the dumbest parts of the film that are the true parts”, he added.

While they were having a news conference, a fan stripped showing off his boxer shorts in front of Clooney and asked him for a kiss. Clooney just responded with a smile.
