Celebrity Big Brother winner and cage fighter Alex Reid could not understand why his wife, Katie Price, was in the news all the time until he met her and was taken aback.
Reid married his wife in a very modest wedding ceremony in Las Vegas. The wedding took place last month, just a few days after he won Celebrity Big Brother.
In one of his interviews with Alan Carr, Reid said, “Do you know what, I used to see Katie Price in the papers all the time and I couldn’t understand it – why is she in the magazines every bloody week?”
Price, who also goes by the modelling name Jordan, married singer Peter Andre in a grand wedding back in 2005, but the two separated just last year.
Reid narrated that he saw the coverage, wherein the bride arrived in a Cinderella-like carriage made of glass. “I thought the wedding was ugh, why’s she doing all that? And now I’m married to her! I met a lovely girl who I thought was fit,” he said.
The cage fighter recalled his September 2009 wedding proposal to his wife. He said that Price overreacted when she proclaimed that they already split up just before she left the show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ He said the experience made her remember her ex-husband, whom she got acquainted with in another reality show.
He said that both of them decided to tie the knot in Las Vegas since they both wanted to get married urgently.
