Adam Lambert may have been wild in his recent American Music Awards performance but this time, he is expected to tame down as he appears as a guest in So You Think You Can Dance.
The dance competition aired in the Fox channel will feature the American Idol runner-up on its season finale on Wednesday.
The show’s producer Nigel Lythgoe is confident that Lambert will properly behave during his appearance on the show, reports said.
Lythgoe said that he delivered a message to Lambert’s side saying he does not look forward to any unexpected behaviour during the two-hour finale. So You Think You Can Dance will be broadcast at 8 pm EST.
The glam rocker from Idol’s eighth season has been marred by criticisms after an allegedly racy performance during last month’s American Music Awards in ABC. The network said that Lambert went beyond what he was supposed to do as he did in rehearsals.
However, Lythgoe believes that the 27-year-old singer will perform as what he had in rehearsals for the Wednesday night show.
Lambert will join other guest musical performers including X Factor winner Leona Lewis, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Lopez. The Groovaloos dance group will also be performing along with the 20 finalists.
The contestants include couple competitors Ryan and Ashleigh Di Lello, Jakob Karr, Russel Ferguson, Ellenore Scott and Kathryn McCormick.
The contestants’ fate is decided by viewer’s votes after the performance show on Tuesday.
